Bob grew up in Atlanta, Ga., graduated from Walter F. George High School, attended North Georgia Military College, and graduated from Georgia State.
He is preceded in death by his father, Robert L. Gillis (WWII), and father-in-love John Brown (WWII), brother Carey Brown, and his mother, Beryl Gillis Brown.
Bob is survived by his wife Trisha, daughter Adrian Campbell and son-in-love, Kyle Campbell. His brother Roger Gillis and wife Suzanne, his nephew Adam Gillis, wife Beth Ann, niece Braelyn, and nephew Bryson. His sister Tracy Stephens, husband Don, and nephews Andy, John wife Stephanie, His brother Dana Brown and wife Helene, their children, Danny Brown, wife Stephanie children Penelope & Cecilia, Joey Brown wife Carrie, child Isaiah.

A memorial service to honor Bob will be held Saturday, November 20, at Mars Hill Baptist Church in Watkinsville.

The family will receive guests at 10:00 before the service at 11:30.
